The payment was mailed days before the due date, and the check was presented for payment at my bank day after the due date. How could you process the check and have it at my bank day after the due date, and claim the payment was days late?
I suspect that, as has been reported in the financial news, you are deliberately
failing to process payments in a timely manner. When the customer’s check sits on someone’s desk for days you can make a handsome profit by charging an undeserved late fee.
